Rupee Jassal, Managing Director: Welcome to EDRcare an innovative organisation that believes in making a positive difference. We do this by employing staff committed to supporting people to lead full and unique lives.
EDRcare is a development centre which supports people with a range of disabilities including learning difficulties and disabilities, autism and/or mental health problems. Some of those people will have other support needs including sensory disabilities and perhaps behaviours that might be considered to be challenging that require more creative support.
We support adults from 16– 24 years of age and 25 - 45 and 46- 65+ years of age.
We are based in the London borough of Hillingdon and our service is accessible to all boroughs and our neighbouring boroughs of Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Harrow and Hounslow.
We empower individuals by creating opportunities for the people we support. It’s about supporting them to have much more control over what they do and choices they make. This is done through work experience, self-fulfilment, life skills and training and job opportunities. We use a person centred approach and the planning is lead by the individual because its their wants ,and needs we are working towards giving them support they need.
We achieve this by including the People we Support in decision making, giving respect and informed choices. Supporting individuals to develop skills and taking risks. This is done by collecting information and identifying effective communication to support them. Empowering the Individual to become more confident in controlling their lives, achieving their goals and fulfilling their aspirations.
Individuals are supported to maximise their independence and grow with confidence.By enabling individuals to develop their personal and social skills. We provide vocational, educational, social and recreational activities.
Our centre is based in Eastcote (Hillingdon) which neighbours with Harrow, Brent, Hounslow, Ealing and Barnet. Our building offers 2,000 square foot of space with lift and wheelchair access.
